Sabrina Schuck, Ph.D.
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Dr. Schuck is responsible for overseeing the overall creation and development of The Craig School. Dr. Schuck is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the UC Irvine and is contracted by TCS to work to establish the school in the model of the UC Irvine Child Development School, oversee the intern training program and the community services, including Parent Education, and to ensure TCS’s continued development and sustainability. Dr. Schuck was an undergraduate at UC Irvine, earning the Bachelor of Arts in Cognitive Science there. While an undergraduate, she trained at the UCI Child Development Center in the School and Research programs. She initially worked as a Behavior Specialist at the Child Development School, and then later a Research Project Coordinator on several large, multi-site studies of ADHD funded by the National Institutes of Health. While working in research, she completed the Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology at Chapman University. Inspired by working for over 15 years with children with ADHD and their families in the research and clinical setting, she went back to graduate school and completed the Doctorate in Education with an emphasis in Special Education in 2009. She completed her post-doctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at UC Irvine in the Department of Pediatrics and was then hired there as an Assistant Professor in 2010.
Dr. Schuck’s favorite thing at TCS is that students who may not have felt comfortable elsewhere can find a safe and inspirational space to learn, build resilience, and make friends.
