Support The Craig School

Your support strengthens a school designed for how students actually learn.

The Craig School is a nonprofit school serving students whose needs are often unmet in traditional environments. While tuition supports core operations, it does not fully cover the level of individualized academic, behavioral, and social support students receive each day.

Philanthropic support helps sustain the program, expand access, and ensure the school continues to grow thoughtfully and responsibly.

Why Giving Matters

Every gift supports the daily work of the school and the long-term success of its students.

Donations help fund:

  • Tuition assistance for families with demonstrated financial need
  • Program development and classroom resources
  • Staff training and professional growth
  • Research and continuous improvement initiatives

Your support directly shapes the environment where students build confidence, skills, and independence

The Craig School is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization and private school registered with the California Department of Education and is exempt from federal income tax under Title 26.

The Crinella Fund

Dr. Francis M. Crinella played a foundational role in the development of the school’s approach and mission. He was a mentor, advisor, and advocate whose work and guidance shaped the program in lasting ways.

The Crinella Fund was established in his memory to support the school where needs are greatest and to carry forward his vision for children and families in the community.

Gifts designated to this fund help ensure flexibility and responsiveness as the school continues to grow and evolve.

Tuition Assistance Fund

The Tuition Assistance Fund helps families access the program when full tuition is not possible through personal or district resources.

This fund:

  • Supports students who would otherwise be unable to enroll
  • Helps maintain a diverse and inclusive school community
  • Allows aid to be awarded thoughtfully based on need and available resources

Annual fundraising for tuition assistance is essential to sustaining access for families who rely on support.

Hayden's Fund

Hayden was truly a student of the human race—always wanting to learn more, experience more, to know more. He lived life on this Earth to the fullest, and full of curiosity. The world was his classroom—but school, in the traditional sense, was especially difficult for him, as it is for so many kids like Hayden.

With reverence for all things exciting about learning, all things daring, and all things possible, in 2022, we created an annual scholarship fund at The Craig School in his memory. This fund is designated to provide financial support for eligible TCS staff to further their relevant educational and professional development.

To help support this fund and provide opportunities for the next generation of transformative teachers and therapists, please consider a donation to Hayden’s Fund at TCS.

Ways to Give

The school gratefully accepts a range of charitable contributions, including:

  • Cash gifts
  • Stock and marketable securities
  • Donor-advised funds
  • Planned or memorial gifts

All contributions directly support the school’s mission and long-term sustainability.

The Craig School is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and is exempt from federal income tax.

Community Support and Events

Community-led fundraising plays an important role in supporting the school.

Events such as Spring Fling, hosted by the Parent Teacher Organization, help fund scholarships and programs while strengthening connections among families, supporters, and partners.

These efforts reflect a shared commitment to students and to the school’s mission.
