Patty Ramsey, M.A., LMFT

DIRECTOR OF STUDENTS & FAMILIES

Patty oversees all programming at The Craig School and is the classroom therapist for the students in the Middle School. Patty received the Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Drama, with Honors in Directing, from UC Irvine. While an undergraduate she participated in a yearlong internship at the UC Irvine Child Development School, the model for The Craig School. After completing the internship and graduating in 2006, Patty’s first job was as a Behavior Specialist. She completed the Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology at Argosy University in 2012. She is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and is certified to provide professional supervision to MFT candidates. Patty completed the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certificate program at UC Santa Barbara and is currently preparing for certification. A founding staff member at TCS, Patty continues to develop her skills and further her training by regularly participating in continuing education programming with emphasis on family systems, art and play therapy, and up to date related evidence-based practices.

Patty’s favorite thing about TCS is that it offers an educational experience to students and their families that they deserve- small classrooms full of supportive, passionate, and well-trained staff members with the common goal to create a space for your child to belong. Patty enjoys going to see live theater, walks on beaches and parks, and trying to recreate recipes from her favorite restaurants. She is also a very fast typist!
