Josh Brown, M.A., M.Ed.
PROGRAM MANAGER, SPED SERVICES
Josh, also known as Mr. B, leads the management of Individualized Education Plans and Progress Monitoring Systems at TCS. He also provides individualized specialized academic interventions emphasizing executive functioning skills and structured literacy skills and is certified in the Orton-Gillingham approach to supporting students with dyslexia. Josh completed a dual degree program at UC Irvine, earning the Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and the Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 2015. He then completed the Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology at Pepperdine University and the Master of Education in Special Education at National University.
Josh is a founding staff member at TCS, designing programming and providing instruction across grades 1-8 over the last 15 years. Josh is passionate about bringing social skills to life, creating a brave space where students of all ages feel seen, supported, and inspired to grow into their best selves. Josh’s favorite thing about TCS is how much room there is for creativity. Outside of school, you can find him reading or writing fantasy stories, or out with his therapy dog, Arte, at the beach, the park, and even Barnes & Noble.
