TCS is built differently. Family Partnership is one of four pillars the model stands on. You are part of how the school works, not an audience for it.
HOW THE MODEL WORKS
A Core Pillar, Not an Add-On
TCS is built on four pillars: Academic Excellence, Executive Function, Social Skills and Communications, and Family Partnership. All four carry equal weight.
The skills your child builds at school, including executive function, emotional regulation, communication, and self-advocacy, only become lasting habits when they are practiced consistently across settings. That requires home and school to operate from the same framework, using the same language.
When home and school work as one team, your child applies new skills with confidence in both places.

YEAR ONE
The Family Education Program
Every new family completes the Family Education Program during their first year. It is a required condition of enrollment.
What it includes:
- A six-week evening series. Sessions run in the evening to fit family schedules.
- Approximately 12 hours of instruction. Led by members of the Student Support Team.
- Practical, research-informed strategies. Content covers executive functioning, emotional regulation, routines, positive reinforcement, communication, problem-solving, and building independence at home.
- A separate fee of $900. Billed apart from annual tuition. Scheduling and payment details are provided before each series.
The program builds a shared operating language between families and staff. When your child hears consistent vocabulary and expectations at home and at school, skill transfer happens faster and holds longer.

ONGOING COMMUNITY
The Multiple Family Group
After completing the Family Education Program, families are invited to join the Multiple Family Group (MFG).
MFG is an ongoing bi-weekly learning community. It provides continued access to the Student Support Team, a structured space to exchange strategies, and consistent support across your child's time at TCS.
You sit alongside families managing the same day-to-day realities of raising a capable child who learns differently. That shared context is part of what makes the group useful.
CONSISTENCY ACROSS SETTINGS
One Shared Language
A strategy taught in one place rarely holds if it disappears everywhere else. At TCS, the language stays consistent across the whole system.
Teachers, Program Coordinators, the Student Support Team, and families all use the same vocabulary and reinforce the same expectations. Your child encounters the same framework in the classroom and at home.
That consistency is what turns a taught strategy into a lasting habit. Small, regular moments at home, recognizing effort, naming progress, reinforcing the skills practiced at school, compound over time.
DAILY VISIBILITY
The Daily Progress Report
Every family receives a Daily Progress Report, a snapshot of your child's day through our Student Growth and Reinforcement System. You stay informed in real time rather than waiting for a scheduled conference.
The report is a tool, not a scorecard. It lets you:
- Recognize progress. Identify a strong day and acknowledge it directly.
- Ask specific questions. Start a conversation about a particular moment rather than asking "how was school?"
- Track patterns. Catch emerging trends early, while they are still easy to address.
The Daily Progress Report complements regular teacher communication and two formal Parent-Teacher Conferences each year.

What Partnership Looks Like Over Time
Family Partnership runs continuously across your child's time at TCS, not just at the start.
- Before enrollment: a direct conversation about your child's profile and whether TCS is a strong match.
- First year: the Family Education Program, establishing a shared language between home and school.
- Every year after: monthly MFG participation, ongoing support from your child's grade-level case manager, and access to the Student Support Team.
- Every day: the Daily Progress Report and open communication with teachers.
